The Gerum cloak, which was discovered in Östra Gerum in 1920, is one of the oldest preserved garments we have found. It was discovered folded up in a peat bog on Gerumsberget hill a few kilometres east of Åsle and dates back to 360-100 BC. It is oval in shape and measures approx. 2.5 x 2 metres.
A copy of the Gerum cloak is on display at Falbygdens museum in Falköping.
