The Falbygden area has some 200 passage graves, which is two-thirds of the total number in Sweden! Karleby, on the far side of Åsle Bog, is thought to have been inhabited continuously for more than 5,000 years. Historian Dag Stålsjö believed that the picturesque country road that winds through the village of Karleby Långa could be the oldest road in Sweden that is still in use.
